![]() | Bill TavaresLake Placid, New YorkUSA bobsled.teamusa.org/athlete/athlete/3095 Coach Bill Tavres competed in luge for 10 years before coaching bobsled for the last 14. His favorite career moment was competing at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, France. His favorite moments in coaching so far have been seeing the women's team win gold in 2002 and the four-man team win the World Championships in 2009. Bill coordinates all activities for the Army's World Class Athlete Program (WCAP) with the U.S. Bobsled Team. Outside of bobsledding, Bill enjoys ocean and skydiving, camping, barbequing, and fishing. < Return to Team Listing |
